As Jim lamented yesterday, the rail gods came together in Portage, WI.

Nice to have mother nature cooperate as well with 61 degrees

First is classic close up awaiting it's 13:45 call time. Well documented statewide.

I got my first call on this from friends 2 hours prior. I live two hours away from Portage.

The first and second shots were done within 15 minutes of my arrival.

The second is 668 coming around the bend. One unit wonders are not rare on CP. A SD60 is.

Then to get the Soo switching gang.

Some reverse views:

Portage power.

282 rear view fwd.

A friend of ours has #8 well in tow, and give elongated horn and wave cordials.

Thanks folks in Lacrosse for the 7am wake up call to get these.

A year from now, I don't think any of this will be all possible.
