few NKC today . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

. . took off early this morning with fellow TO'er COZephyr in search of Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado Railnet. Found them interchanging with BNSF at Sterling, CO with one of only two former CNW GP 50's in their paint job leading unfortunatley at high noon. A few shots on eastbound trip;
top: performing air test on UP main adjacent BNSF Sterling, CO yard.
middle: climbing out of Sterling about to pass under I-76 Fwy just east of Sterling.
bottom: switching at grain elevator just a mile east of above location.

What a Great lash-up, quite different from the ones you see in your "neighborhood"! Is the last engine ex-Detroit Edison?

When I saw the title, I assumed you meant North Kansas City Missouri. The NKC I know of looks nothing like those pics...LOL
