Author: SCKP187 When I heard the dispatcher talking to 6900 west, my thought was to make a similar shot of one from 43 years ago. Similar wasn't going to be possible this day as I could not get the light on the proper side of the unit and you just can't get near enough to the property anymore. The first shot is from a mat I rolled on a proof press back when the Abilene Reflector-Chronicle (KS) was a letterpress newspaper--UP 6900 West at the Abilene KS platform with new units 1404-1401 on the Golden Spike Special May 7 1969. Second, BNSF version of 6900 West in Tulsa OK July 1 2012 MEMTUL.
