Western Railroad Discussion > Daylight oil cansDate: 10/13/12 22:46 Daylight oil cans Author: walstib The last half dozen times I trekked down from the Bay Area to foam the coast, the fabled oil cans ran at night -- until today.
And I got an ex-SP unit, to boot. Here's the train just south of Seacliff. Date: 10/13/12 23:00 Re: Daylight oil cans Author: tinytrains Nice shot. Due to passing the SPH&TS meet in Ventura, it was today's most photographed train. I shot it at Leesdale (can't post unitl I get home). The HeadsUpCoast email group was a huge help and very active today.

D Date: 10/14/12 06:20 Re: Daylight oil cans Author: 3rdswitch Very nice shot. Wonder why UP doesn't DP this train. In the last couple of years they have gone DP mad DP'ing just about everything including fifteen bay stack trains?
