A trio of roster shots from Sunday
Author: oyw

I tend to prefer shooting action but I'll never turn down a good roster shot, as was the case today.

1) After a tip from my friend FCP901, I stopped by BNSF's Kaiser yard in Fontana (CA) for a shot of fresh painted GP60M 150. I am told this is one of only three GP60M's in H-3 paint.

2) Over at Pepper Ave in Colton, rebuilt UP SD40N 1572 was busy at work.

3) Also from the bridge at Pepper, a "snoot" version of the SD40N is represented by UP 1703.

Thanks for the look.

The 150 still has the ATSF numberboards, showing it's true lineage...

Something looks wrong with the 1572's plow.
Well, I guess the "SD38-2 body" era is finally coming to a close in SoCal.

The 150 was repainted at MAC (Mid America Car) here in KC back in August. It is sad to see a Warbonnet lose its colors, but I heard it was turned into a Swoosh due to an accident in CA.
