Every once and awhile a train comes along that takes precedence over everything else. You know you are going to chase and photograph as much as possible, case in point this morning's CP train #270. Led by five SD40/40-2s, four of while were in Blue / Yellow, oh yes this train was going going to be chased! Starting off Donehower MN just after sunrise, the ex-Milwaukee Road, DME #6364 sure looked nice! Swinging into Dakota MN the sounds of 15000 EMD horses was nothing short of being remarkable! The bottom image is next to the Dresbach Lock and Dam.

After a 48 car pickup in La Crescent MN, for totals of 73 loads and 78 empties, CP #270 departs La Crescent MN heads south. Just south of Brownsville MN, the DME #6364 and company roll along on a beautiful mid-November morning. The bluffs in Reno MN are in their Fall grays and browns as #270 lumbers by.

Just south of New Albin IA, #270 passes thru the barren farm fields on it's way to Marquette IA. And lastly #270 cruises thru Lansing IA. Ex-Milwaukee Road SD40-2, DME #6364 sure looks nice on home rails.
