Western Railroad Discussion > Two Starlights and an ACEDate: 11/19/12 22:18 Two Starlights and an ACE Author: walstib Today's foaming adventure yielded a trio of shots.
First stop was the San Jose depot, where the Coast Starlight is just pulling into Track 1 on the far right. A couple of tracks to the left, a Capitol Corridor has just arrived. And in the foreground, a northbound Caltrain is just arriving from the Tamien Station in San Jose. Second stop is Alviso, where we see ACE 4, the 3:35 p.m. departure from San Jose, head north through the mudflats. It is headed for Stockton. I recently acquired a 400mm lens and this was the first time I used it at Alviso. The third and final stop of the day was Aromas in Monterey County, where I caught a tardy Coast Starlight going through town. seems to work well for ya. Thanks for posting these here. Date: 11/19/12 22:26 Re: Two Starlights and an ACE Author: mojaveflyer Nice shots! The depot in San Jose has changed a lot since I lived there a long time ago. I'm guessing you shot #1 from the San Carlos Street bridge?
