Adam Date: 12/09/12 10:47 Re: At least they're building new gons Author: CFWRRCEO How about that, I just caught two brand new Rail Gon gondolas here at MP-351, Bliss, Idaho today.
And I have also caught some of the brand new UP gons here. Date: 12/09/12 11:31 Re: At least they're building new gons Author: ironmtn The TTX RailGons look to be a very solid design. I haven't looked at any comparative measurements, but they appear to be deeper than many gons. The side posts right above the truck centers are beefy, and there's lots of reinforcement elsewhere in the car. Being gons, all a good thing. They get so beat up.

They have been building them by the hundreds. I have a picture of new GNTX 295708 taken on Oct. 12 2012 leaving Hamilton along with several others. CP Rail delivers them to Chicago, I would assume.
