First seasonal snowfall along Cajon Pass tonight?
Author: MrMRL

Looking at the latest NOAA radar loop, it appears the Cajon Pass region is primed to recieve it's first dusting of snowfall this evening as the next in a series of mild to moderate cold fronts pushes into Southern California. Snow levels last I read were anticipated to drop <3500' overnight (BNSF's Cajon Summit @ 3775.1'). Best chance for accumulating white stuff would be overnight into Saturday morning if the moisture hangs around long enough. May be worth the efforts to check out the scenes tomorrow morning for So Cal railfans waiting for those early season snow shots. The key will be whether the ground is cold enough to allow the falling snow to set up or not.

* 1600 PST radar snapshot for the Cajon Pass area. Moisture is moving inland SW to NE.

That would be nice, since the BNSF Christmas train is supposed to make 2 runs on Cajon from San Bernardino to Summit tomorrow.
