Global Partners buys Tranload at Port Westward, OR

Global Partners LP which owns or controls two crude oil loading facilities in the Bakken, and the CP served transload at the Port of Albany, NY. Has announce the purchase of the crude oil transload (rail to water) at Port Westward, OR (Clatskanie, OR) from Cascade, Kelly Holdings LLC. This includes the Railcar unloading racks, the Ethanol distillery, the docks, and the storage facility.

Wow, I see this changing who is running all the oil west now.. Rumors have been flying that the CP wants to interchange crude train at Eastport, this might just seal that rumor...

some further research indicates that the plant was never a productive ethanol producer.......reports talk about low price
of ethanol and high price of corn but as I remember it the plant also had some design problems. so it began being
a transload facility in November with tank cars coming in on the Portland & Western RR.
