What happened to the Dunsmuir helpers?
Author: boejoe

The video camera at 12:26 pm (March 6th) shows the two UP's idling on the adjacent track. By 1:16 segment they are gone yet the camera doesn't seem to have picked up their motion ???

I noticed them removing the last of the tank cars that were stored on McCloud River tracks in the Mount Shasta yard this afternoon.

They weren't helpers. Just some power that brought some tie cars to the area.

Yup - there haven't been manned helpers on this line since the advent of DPU.

They ran two UKFRVs yesterday. The one I saw was 3 units and 73 LPG tank cars with a head end buffer car. Inbound the cars came to Mt. Shasta on URVKFR.
