I was in Floresville, TX on Wednesday on business and noticed that the former SP line rails have been pulled up.

Floresville is south of San Antonio on US181.

I noticed that there was a lot of oil field activity in the area and even more down south.

That being said, I am now wondering if UP might start looking a relaying the rails to carry the fracking sand and other oil field related equipment.

Kind of what KCS did south of Houston towards Victoria.

Would be interesting.
