BNSF4614 North at Black Butte
Author: photobob

Just when I thought we have seen the last of BNSF through here up pops another. I went up to Black Butte and got her coming up the grade just past the Black Butte Wye. The storm that has been threatening the area is looming in the background. Is this it for the BNSF bypass trains? Oh yea there was a CN locomotive in the consist CN2643.

Very nice Bob, I like that location further north. Less poles to deal with.

The symmetry of the elephant style GE noses is sweet.

The classic Black Butte grade photo. ~ Nice~ Is this the last BNSF bypass train? Is the big hole open on Donner yet?

Another one showed right behind this one at 19:21 on the Dunsmuir Camera. Donner Pass is back open. Detector at MP 112 sounded with 396 axles about an hour ago.
