Who cares.....SD70ACes

BNSF 9017/9016 head south at mp 210 on the Boise city sub this morning. 9175/8775 bring up the rear. Unusual all EMD consist and all ACes to boot.

As for the title, the 9016 wasn't making much noise and mechanical was called when it shut itself down. All fault codes were cleared and it was restarted. It had a turbo cooldown cycle note. Limits it to notch 4. Well, the engineer stressed it had a full tank of gas numerous times indicating it was not making much power. I'm guessing Guernsey was the fuel spot. Seems it needs two to three days to cool before it will load in 8. No known date was set for run 8......

On a related note, the 9006/9003 combo went south on their first trip as well and the 9006 went belly up with cold water alarms. Mech. had them shut it down and drain it. Sure hope it isn't a pattern.
At least it's not as bad as GE. Units running in 8 and not loading. Most C4s affected. Software updates installed as they cycle them. Wonder how much fuel that costs??
