Western Railroad Discussion > This and that at North Platte.Date: 09/23/14 19:01 This and that at North Platte. Author: upheritage6 On Saturday, September 20th, 2014. Me and a couple of friends had went to North Platte, Ne. We went for North Platte railfest. We went on the bus tour and saw some very neat stuff. We saw foreign power, old power, new power, and heritage power. Some really cool stuff. Bailey yard was probably the most interesting railyard i have ever seen. I am surely going back nest year!. We then left to come back for Denver. We stopped for a few trains. This is going to be a long thread. I tried to get some good pictures of things but failed. SO if some aren't that good. Don't complain. It was mostly because i was on the bus.
1) the line to get on the bus. 2) The mini train. 3)NEEEY. HORSIES. Heh. I am sorry i had too. Date: 09/23/14 19:07 Re: This and that at North Platte. Author: twropr The one and only time I've ever been in North Platte, there was a grassy island that was infested with jack rabbits who were feasting on grain that had leaked from nearby covered hoppers. I think it was near the diesel shop. Wonder if the rabbits are still there?

Really nice shots of the Heritage units - up close and personal. |
