A fairly long UP passenger train has been sitting in the Portola yard all morning facing west. Sure looks good. Probably taking the equipment to Oakland for winter storage.

Train left westbound towards FRC in the last 45 minutes. Hope someone gets pics in the Canyon.

Why wouldn't it have gone to Sparks straight from Winnemucca instead of going down FRC to Roseville and then back up over Donner? Maybe there is another one out there?
