Atten-HUT! I caught a military train [all empty flats] marching east up the GSR yesterday (13th). Interestingly enough this train will do a drill around the west connection at SJ Jct in Topeka. After this about-face it will become a westbound train heading for Ft Riley, KS on the KP. At ease…

1. UP 7939 + empty military flats eastbound at Buffalo Mound Rd crossing west of Maple Hill, KS.

2. The 7939 in the siding at St Marys, KS now westbound. That road sign on the right is pointing to the very town I first shot this train. 10 miles away as the crow flies, but considerably further all the way into Topeka on the GSR. Then back out on the KP…

3. The 7939 + train rolling through Belvue, KS.
