Thanks for posting this info.  I currently drive for Oak Harbor Freight Lines, a Western regional carrier.  We're not anywhere near as big as the CON-WAY and FED-EX types, but we have customers wanting to give us more freight, except we need more drivers.  In general, the freight business is thriving.

I know that some of these bigger carriers run their drivers hard, and burn out is a huge factor in the LTL business.  But every ABF driver I've met seemed happy.

I have no idea how Swift & England make any money with the amount of equipment they destroy. Their claims must be astronomical. I s'pose they make some of it up with the pitiful rates they pay their staff.

Looks like they are not listing all the divisions for truckers.  JB Hunt had 6.200 billion revenue in 2014.

You have to hand it to ABF. Of the original group of major Unionized LTL carriers, I think they are the only ones left. YRC sort of qualifies but it is a merger of Yellow and Roadway.

Yes, SWIFT is very cheap with pay.

SWIFT:  Sure Wish I'd Finish Training.
