Saw the Yakima Central RR (ex-MRL) 332 yesterday, moving dead-in-train behind the three UP units on eastbound MHKNP-23.  I read that the unit was sold by MRL to YCR last March for grain train service.  Any idea where it might be headed now?

The answer here will be of some interest to EL fans.  This is one of the last SDP45's in active service and unique after being rebuilt after a wreck in 11/73 bringing it to a -2 appearence along with 3667.  This being former 3657 of course.

More good news for EL fans. The destination shows to be the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum at North Judson, IN.

Thanks for the info.  My bet is that the unit will wind up in that classy EL paint scheme eventually.

While the 3667 received a new "-2" long hood, the 3657 became a full -2 when rebuilt in 1974.  It received a new cab, short hood, sub base and -2 electrical cabinet along with a new long hood.  The 3667 only received the long hood.

These two SD's were wrecked as a result of a couple kids opening a switch correct? I actually got to run the 332 when it did a stint on the BNSF back in the good old days of the early 2000's lol. Shouldn't be hard to find color chips for the repaint, there is still EL paint in the engineers door jamb!
