I'm currently in Lubbock, and I hope to catch it here or on the way toward Clovis, if it works out.

Is this the same line that PANHANDLE, TX is located?  They just had a horrific freight train collison; did the Circus Train get through there earlier, or are they DELAYED by this incident, or are they on a different BNSF rail line?  SEE http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4062702,page=1

Two completely different lines. The circus train won't join the transcon until Texico, NM, just east of Clovis.

The circus rolled through Slaton, Texas at 20:24, and into Lubbock just before 21:00.
