Western Railroad Discussion > Odd Unit in DenverDate: 07/26/16 15:40 Odd Unit in Denver Author: YukonYeti Spotted at the BNSF facilities is a rather odd unit OPT 2040. It appears to be a highly modified SD35. Gray in color, OPT logo. Older style Farr air filter box, modified dynamic brake grid, no dynamic brake fan, no exhaust stack (that I could see) Sorry, no photos.. Got a distant shot but it is in the camera..
Did I miss a post or did I discover something? Yukon Yeti... Out of his cave.. Date: 07/26/16 15:56 Re: Odd Unit in Denver Author: tferk OPT = Orange Port Terminal. They had an ex-ICG SD20 numbered 2030. Perhaps a sister unit?
Date: 07/26/16 16:20 Re: Odd Unit in Denver Author: redneckrailfan It's a former IC Paducah Rebuild SD20 and one of the last 4 such units that used former B&O SD35's as core units.
