???  To me that is a string of English lanuage words, but it conveys no information.
Maybe it is a secret "drop" where spies can leave messages for their handlers?

Probably referring to the heavy rain?

Not sure where "Benney" is but "Binney" could get a little wet. So, from you'ze guys out there, how is
the weather disaster befalling NorCal?

I'm thinking that's it. Linda is a small "town" just south of Marysville. Close to where the Feather and Yuba Rivers converge.

It's raining hard in the area and it doesn't look like it's going to let up any time soon.

You guys don't have your secret decoder rings.

Linda is indeed a small town near Marysville and I believe he's referring to all the rain and threat of flooding.

Unfortunately there are occasionally posts by people who give no information and even decoder rings don't work; it would be nice for people to post enough info for others to know what they're talking about.

Apparently referring to the Ex WP from Haggin to Binney Jct in Marysville.  Low lands protected by Levee's. Flooded out in '86 and ?  Many homes ruined but that didn't stop the developers from building new subdivisions.  One of them aptly named Plumas "Lake".  Same place a pontoon boat sat well off the ground entangled in a high voltage tower if I remember right.  Not sure how badly the railroad took a beating back then as they are built on top of the levees.  SP diverted traffic to the West Valley for a few days when that happened.  They also lost the Peachtree mall to flooding never to be revived.  Now Walmart sits next to the levee at the former Dantoni Jct.

waay back in the huge 1997 floods (early1997) , Linda, Ca was all over the news as they suffered major flooding back then .
I still do NOT know exactly where the town of Linda, CA is.
I think is is near Marysville CA.

I gave OP a little assist last time he did that. I prefer the humorous responses (in this thread) instead of snark when people express their frustrations. :-)

Off topic, a bit rant-ish... and it's nothing personal... but welcome to the Gilded Tech Age!! People now have the superhuman capability to say what they feel without any delay, fat-fingering their thoughts on too-small "keyboards" on Smartphones... Technology exposes all sorts of bad habits, and I'll say it again - it's best feature is to expose human stupidity... and I'm not immune from that either.

This could be another example of the point of diminishing returns, where all the gains we made (mainframes -> laptops, 300 baud modems -> Internet with wireless, etc.) are being negated.

Remember, we're not supposed to be super critical of someone else's writing abilities.  There's a plethora of reasons for this.

Linda, California is just south of Marysville, California.  Yuba City is just west of Marysville.  The SP, Sacramento Northern, WP, and now UP had / have rails in this area.

The map shows the relative highway distance between Roseville, California and Linda.

But Alicia is between Linda and the river! We do tend to get high minded about cryptic posts and that but
it's really not all that mean spirited. It's like I always say, don't post anything you wouldn't say face to face.

Due east of Marysville, you can see an airstrip.  That's Beale Air Force Base, formerly Camp Beal.  It was named after General Beale.  It was home to the SR71 Blackbird, fastest jet in the world that we know about.

Did Beale ever have rail service?  Desperate attempt to get this back on topic...

It did and still does.
