Unpainted NS.

1. Caught this unit at the West Burlington shop. probably on the way to Relco at Albia Iowa for paint. i am thinking it did not retain number 2764? March 2006.

2. At Burlington Iowa the day before. Are these two SD70ACE units?

3. NS 9873 leads a westbound at Niota Il, on the BNSF(ATSF). July 2004.

NS 2763 and 2764 are both SD70M-2 locomotives and do retain their numbers today. EMD contracted out much of the painting for the NS SD70M-2's.

NS SD70M 2625 and Dash 9-40CW 9873 were both delivered to NS in primer and were later painted by NS.

I was going to say what Chris said but he beat me to it.

All of the undecorated units did in fact retain their numbers. The thing I remember is with the forst Phase II SD70M's having primered trucks to boot.
