End of an era in Williamsfield
Author: Contax645

Today is the last day for the searchlights and cantilevers on the BNSF Chillicothe Sub. at Williamsfield, Illinois.
Here we view a eastbound rolling out of a storm and through the Williamsfield plant prior to cut-over work beginning this morning.

Another set of classic searchlights and cantilevers almost gone. However some remain in service at Yost, Edelstein, Chillicothe, Toluca and Verona, Illinois...for now. Happy foaming..

Ancona still has a signal bridge controlling eastbound movements. Two masts govern westbounds (the cantilever was destroyed in a derailment).
