Western Railroad Discussion > Coal on the Transcon?Date: 11/22/17 20:17 Coal on the Transcon? Author: railfan Over the past few days I've seen 3 unit coal trains each with a mix of BNSF and Ferromex power in the Grants/ Gallup area with loads heading west, anyone able to advise where they load and where they're going to please?
Thanks John Date: 11/22/17 20:23 Re: Coal on the Transcon? Author: bmalonef45 We used to never see coal on this part of the Transcon in Kansas but now we see it often. Not sure about out west but its definitely not an uncommon site here anymore.

The FXE motors were probably picked up there.
There are two 3x3 coal trains that run from El Segundo Mine, NM. Posted from Android Date: 11/22/17 23:10 Re: Coal on the Transcon? Author: railfan Thank you!
