On display in Oakland, Calif. all day Thursday, 11-7. Near Middle Harbor Road and Seventh.

Thanks for the heads up, Stash

It took a while to find where they stuffed it, but I finally got the photos.
The boulders don't help but it was better than where they first parked it --- behind the trees.

It also just occurred to me that today is a very significant day to have photographed this unit

When I arrived there they were having a ceremony to honor veterans. After that, it was in a great position for photos, other than the bolders in the foreground. A friendly UP official was conducting cab tours and answering questions.

So when will UP 1943 be displayed in LA? LAUPT has plenty of track space.
