Nothing Better Than A Snowy Moffat!

The Denver-Metro area finally got a decent hammering of snow yesterday and last night. About five inches fell at the siding of Plain (UP Moffat Tunnel Sub). Today we had partly cloudy skies, but even when the sun did break through, it was little consequence to the snow on the ground and vegetation as the temperature was 5°F! At noon, an eastbound BNSF manifest (the Provo, UT to Lincoln, NE) came rolling down the main at Plain in an awesome wintery scene. The near-zero temperatures are quite a stark change from the 70°F weather from just two days ago!

Should be a pretty scenic ride on the Zephyr, Friday for me- Denver to Reno
