A look at the UP Presidents Special as it rolls past my location at MP 255 on the Nevada Sub, east of Sparks NV.

Depends who ordered the train, I dont know the specifics of this train today, but UP runs their passenger trains for various events such as engineering inspections of the railroad or touring a specific route Senior UP officials might want to see.

Also to promote business growth they might invite executives from shippers for a trip.
They have also done trips to the Super Bowl, and sometimes Operation Lifesaver short trips for the general public.

Also known as "Pain Trains" to the local MTMs :-)
