Western Railroad Discussion > Lots of power (11 engines) on this BNSF manifestDate: 04/05/18 07:41 Lots of power (11 engines) on this BNSF manifest Author: JoCoLB While waiting around to catch a late-running Boeing fuselage train at Gardner, Kan., last evening, I was able to enjoy a bit of a surprise.
Showing up in the dim light at 7:39 p.m. (CDST) (Wednesday, April 4, 2018) was an eastbound BNSF Railway manifest powered by 11 locomotives. J just wish there had been better light as two former Santa Fe Warbonnets were leading. (I really can't make out the numbers.) Great vid! Thanks for posting. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/05/18 08:36 by dash944cw. I would assume if I were look on the Eastern Board I would see quite a few BNSF units back east. How long does it take for those units to go home?

Some extra units are usually being repositioned. Sounded like none of these units were dead in the consist, however.

I would have thought the extra units were just being transported DIC. What a thrill to he ALL of those running!! Wow.... AND not ONE but TWO Warboonnets -- and one on the pointg! Yay!

Date: 04/06/18 08:24 Re: Lots of power (11 engines) on this BNSF manifest Author: JoCoLB The far two tracks are Main One and Main Two on the transcon. The closer two are Track Three and Track Four which serve the 5-year-old Logistics Park Kansas City intermodal center in adjacent Edgerton, Kan.
