Western Railroad Discussion > Galveston RailroadDate: 04/12/18 20:34 Galveston Railroad Author: erielackawanna When I was in Galveston a week ago Monday, I lucked out and found the Galveston Railroad working (sure, probably not that hard to do, but I was coming in blind and had no idea when it ran).
The have a neat pair of SW1001s. There was also what looks like an SW1000 or SW1500 with its prime mover on the ground on their property. Anyone know what the story is with that unit? What is it? Is it being scrapped? Date: 04/12/18 20:35 Re: Galveston Railroad Author: erielackawanna Couple more shots after they tied up. Light would have been "roster quality" had I stuck around another hour, but I couldn't due to other plans.

John Date: 04/13/18 06:09 Re: Galveston Railroad Author: wigwag That SW1500 looks like a goner. No headlight lenses or horns. Not a good sign.
