Quiet Tuesday After A Busy Monday On The Northern Transcon

It was cooler partly cloudy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 73/46. Slightly cooler weather for the rest of the week. Traffic was fairly light today after a busy Monday. There was about a four hour lull in the morning and light afternoon traffic. I'm sure it will pick up by evening. Here are the few catches from today and several from yesterday.

5/28/2018

1. EB 313pm manifest train with BNSF 6872-8951 on the point with DPU.
2. EB 429pm grain train with BNSF 3732-9362 on the pull with DPU.
3. WB 515pm coal train with BNSF 6160-9246-8537 on the point with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.

4. DPU BNSF 5635 on same train.
5. WB 558pm "Z: train with BNSF 7151-3988-5734-5427 on the pull.
6. WB 647pm coal train with BNSF 5824-6729-7215 on the point with DPU and a friendly toot-toot from the hogger.

7. WB 730pm oil train with BNSF 6544-5388-H1 1058 on the pull with DPU and a friendly wave from the hogger.

13. EB 140pm grain train with BNSF 7080 and CREX 1314-1333 on the pull with DPU at Bauman Rd., Ritzville and friendly waves from the crew.

15. DPU BNSF 4223 on same train fading away towards downtown Ritzville.

16. EB 256pm grain train with BNSF 7336-5270 on the point with DPU.
17. DPU BNSF 5782 on same train fading away by old NP Ritzville Depot.
18. EB 508pm grain train with BNSF 7185-6940-7078-7085 on the pull, no DPU.

Good coverage again. Lots of coal trains today and EMDs. Winter wheat looks pretty good in the background--soon to be amber waves.
