Western Railroad Discussion > Amtrak Oregon Trunk heads up

Was just checking “work” and see we have a crew on an Amtrak symboled train. Usually this is when we are piloting some kind of Amtrak movement. I am guessing this is the case here as tunnel 11 over on Pengra Pass or the UP’s Cascade sub if you will is still closed. Anyway they are enroute to Klamath From Bend just wanted to mention it as this has been posted over on th passenger railroading forum but sometimes, (and I am guilty myself) we only look at our favorite forums on here lol.

I hear it is an Amtrak Inspection train making it's way South to California. Not sure if it is actually inspecting anything, but rather a DH trip. Lucky for them.
