Western Railroad Discussion > Question on UP around Pratt, KSDate: 06/13/18 14:28 Question on UP around Pratt, KS Author: zaltwsp7 Hi, on average how many trains per day is the UP running on thier Golden State Route around Pratt, KS? Last data I have is from '03. In addition any train symbols or local's work I'd appreciate.
Thank you. Date: 06/13/18 17:44 Re: Question on UP around Pratt, KS Author: dcfbalcoS1 Probably 15 to 18 a day with Tuesday being the slowest ( California Sunday ). Busier Wednesday through Sunday. No information on train symbols. Lots of stacks, autoracks both ways too, at least a couple of manifests a day, 2 or 3 frac sand trains a day, Grain loads going west daily, a local west of Pratt to Liberal on Tuesday I think and back home on Wednesday, a daily local 6 days a week between Liberal and Dalhart, Texas ( East S, T, T and West on M, W, F ). Not unusual to have sidings blocked with trains ( no crews ) and manifests s/o and p/u in Liberal. Switcher on duty in Liberal, Ks from about 6am to noon.
