Substation Fire Update-BNSF Oregon Trunk sub
Author: funnelfan

The Substation Fire in north central Oregon has grown to over 70,000 acres in just a couple days and threatening some rural towns. It is burning from the mouth of the Deschutes River Gorge to Mack Canyon between the sidings of Dike and Sinamox (MP5 to MP28). In a Canyon where rockfall is already a major issue, this fire will make it so much worse. BNSF trains are detouring over the UP while a BNSF fire train is working in the canyon at last report. Containment is only at 15%
