Western Railroad Discussion > Godzilla movie.

Watching the movie Godzilla, I have to ask what locomotive was used and what railroad these scenes were filmed on?

I'm curious as is a friend of mine.

Back when I was on 2nd shift at Amtraks 8th street coach yard, LA, Ca .  I noticed that they were doing some filming close by.  The IMDB site says The Taxi scene was done in Downtown LA

Ok out of all of the Godzilla movies out there, which one are you asking about? Personally I like the original with Perry Mason (Raymond Burr). Great train models being destroyed by a giant dinosaur....

Agreed; the original was by far the best.  All the sequels just didn't come close.

I am guessing you are talking about the 2014 version, my best guess is the railroad was the Southern Railway of Vancouver Island, Nainamo BC was listed as a filming location
