Western Railroad Discussion > Amtrak 464 on the Southwest ChiefDate: 01/19/19 09:56 Amtrak 464 on the Southwest Chief Author: YardLimit In January of 2019, Amtrak 464, an F59PHI Surfliner locomotives deadheaded on Amtrak 4, the eastbound Southwest Chief. We caught it in Bernalillo, NM.
These locomotives are being retired from service in California having been replaced by Siemens Chargers. Fortunately they will go into service on Chicago's Metra.
