Iowa Northern plowing on the former CGW

2/25/2019 west of Dunkerton Iowa.  Former CGW line from Waterloo to Oelwein.

1) first road plow had to clear the road of car window height drifts.
2-3) First run through they nose plow with the spreader

4)  They back up to come through with the wings.

5)  Encountered problems with the spreader wings, gave up waiting.

Nice images! It's amazing how much snow is on the ground in Iowa compared to northeast Illinois where it has mostly disappeared.

Makes me glad we have mostly rainy weather to deal with railroading in here in the Pacific Northwest!
