meet Monday . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

.   .   .    about a dozen years ago, while working one of the "Watson Shuttle" jobs out of BNSF's former Santa Fe Watson Yard in Wilmington, CA, shuttle job 641 was in the clear at ALCOA in Torrance with a stack train for the ports as the 711 job was coming over the Crenshaw Blvd overpass headed for the Chevron refinery in El Segundo then eventually back here to service the Exxon Mobil refinery.

It's always good to see the ol' blue & yellow out there still shining the rail...

The track switch that diverges left. Is there rail missing or is it lost in the mirage effect?

Yes, rail missing as switch to no where. Way back when was switch to Pittsburg Paints. Track I am standing on is original main line before over pass with track to left, current main, original set out track.

Nice meet shot---I sure like the angle and elevation you captured.
