The 4014 will be on display in Omaha July 13 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Home Plate next to the Ameritrade baseball park in North Omaha. Paid admission is required as part of the annual Railroad Days celebration. The 4014 will leave Omaha on July 15 for the excursion to Boone, Iowa. The trip is sold out. ************(There is no mention of a trip to Minnesota)***************** The 4014 is scheduled to visit Southern California Oct. 12-13. Details are pending. Author: sfbrkmn In conjunction to the above, Thursdays Tigers-Royals game will be played @ Omaha. First game in MLB histoy to be played in NE. Denny Mathews, we has been on Royals radio since day 1 in '69, is from IL, and has an interest in rr history. He is a fan of the GM&O, has belonged to their society group and many times during a broadcast, w/a game already out of reach, has yaked on his rr memories of the GMO. Baseball and train history, a great combo.
