Record Flooding Forecast for Elwood, Nebraska
Author: MSE

A major flash flood situation developed over south central Nebraska Monday evening with 10-11" of rain over the Wood River Basin. A record crest, slightly exceeding April's record, is forecast for the town of Elwood and areas a few miles downstream. This will wash out the BNSF Railway which also carries the CZ.

AND it appears to have done so. As of 7:20 AM MDT, #5/8 is sitting at Lincoln, #6/7 at McCook, both showing "Service Dispruption" on transit.docs.

Is this a busy line for freight? If so, what line would be used for rerouted trains?

Thanks,
Troy

With all the continuing flooding I suspect midwest crop harvests will be minimal this year and many farmers will be hard pressed to continue their occupation.

The farm business is very distressed these days. soybeans, sorghum, etc are getting hammered with the tariffs, everybody is soaked and delayed in planting.
