North Platte Main Street
Author: cozephyr

North Platte (population 23,000+), Nebraska, was built around Union Pacific's line.  Downtown Fox Theatre no longer shows movies but is home to a theatrical group.  Morning 11 July 2019 found the streets quiet looking toward the UP tracks and the grain elevator proclaiming it location.

2-Train traffic appeared normal the morning of 11 July 2019 at North Platte.

That’s how the train drivers in Australia and New Zealand feel all the time.

I really appreciate your capture in image #1. Great cohabitation with the theater and grain elevator, which provided jobs and community involvement at both businesses at one time. It appears that the elevator is prepping the silos as the cracks repair squad are performing some re-sealing maintenance on the exteriors of the silos, prior to an elevator white wash. Thank you for sharing the images.
