At The End of the Day
Author: funnelfan

While we all live in a world defined by that fourth dimension known as time, the rising and setting of the sun doesn't factor much in the business of railroading. But for us railfan photographers, the setting of the sun is a defining moment each day. It's the moment where we must transition from the fantastically brilliant single point light source to a multitude of man made light sources of a comparatively minuscule output. For many. the ensuing darkness is the point where they pack up and head for home. For some others, it's chance to practice photography in a challenging environment with sometimes spectacular results. But every day that moment is reached where the sun slips below the horizon.
