Stacks on the Mandan Bridge Today
Author: bmarti7

During lunch today, the BNSF 3822 West, leading the S-CHCWEN [Chicago Cicero-Wenatchee], crosses the Missouri River between Bismarck and Mandan, with international stacks (empty containers I presume) - indeed a rare type of train for these parts. Shooting into the sun @ 300 mm without much shade. The dash cam video is more dash reflection than train but you get the idea. In the video you can observe the flow of the Missouri River. The Corp of Engineers is discharging 46,000 cfs right now from Garrison Dam.

Train looks cool crossing bridge in the far away mode.
