The bride and I, who are both easterners, are traveling in the west this week.  We spent the day at Glacier today, and I shot this video from the shoulder of Route 2 on the south side of the park.  I chased the eastbound to East Glacier and shot him again from the platform.  It later occured to me that the shot off Route 2 must be at the summit of Marias.  Verify?  BTW, what's with the paint job on the 5656?  It looks like she got a little warm!

The first two trains are at the old Marias Cross-over location, since removed. The actual summit is about 1.5 to 2 miles to the east.

Correct-the area where US2 and the railroad were kind of in a wide-open, flat space is the summit.
