Trainless Thursday #1 (make the best of it)

No trains? Do the best you can with what you have …

1. Time for cows to come home on the BNSF near Phillips, NE. It's 8:11 PM on August 5, 2019.

Thanks for looking!

Neat shot, Lance! Both tracks look well used.  Was that a siding or double track?

Thanks.

Double track - first town on BNSF east of Grand Island. Great exposure Lance!

Lance, on my timetable it shows Phillips as being within 6-8 mies of Grand Island, Nebraska.  Isn't Grand Island where the UP and BNSF built a flyover to take out an interlocker?

Thanks.

I'll jump in here Randy - yes. The Google Earth image shows the BNSF overpasses curved but they are straight of course. The highway overpasses immediately south are US 30 west and east.
