A good friend informed me of a FB post showing a Missabe locomotive in Bismarck today. Ed and I actually saw this unit parked in the DMVW yard last Friday, but I forgot to take the shot while looking up the LSRX reporting mark (Lake Superior Railroad Museum) while Ed took the shot which was actually the first catch of the day. https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4891149,4892333#msg-4892333

1. LSRX 316 - former DMIR SD18 (I believe) holds the DMVW mainline next to the DMVW shops in Bismarck
2. In the background - DMVW 5454 (former GN SD45) and DMVW 7510 (former CN SD50F)

Appears to have been relieved of its classic P5 whistle, unless to new owners have it safely stored.

Interesting you posted this.  Just last week I photographed sister #814 on the Chesapeake & Indiana at Wellsboro Indiana. They also own #804 and #811, plus ex-EJ&E # 818, which I shot about a couple of months ago.

I can remember those units coming through Topeka on the UP npw and again.  If I'm recalling right some still had their hugh short hood.  Good catch Bill.
