The surface argument goes like this: "Railroading is a 24/7 proposition. Interesting trains don't always run in perfect 3/4 wedgie light". And it's a valid argument. But beneath that valid surface it becomes a lot more subtle. We all think we're going to live a long time. But in reality we only have so much time left to enjoy this hobby. More to the point, we ALL have only "X" number of photographs left to take in our lives. So today, with no cost for film & processing we have NO EXCUSES for passing up sub-par, or questionably lit shots. My philosophy is shoot ALL of it when you're out. None of us knows what technology will come along after we're long gone, to make us look like skilled artists... :^) Methuselah Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/10/19 21:16 by santafe199. I just got it by accident. Didn't realize that I had it until I checket the camera. Thanks for the note. Don Winslow Glendora, CA http://www.donwinslow.net/Railroads |
