Iowa Interstate this morning.
Author: AndyBrown

Another day, some more IAIS action:

1.  The Wilton Local's crew has finished switching Twin States fertilizer plant just west of Durant, IA, and is performing an air test before heading back to Rock Island to tie up.

2.  A couple hours later the Wesbound road freight is approaching the west switch at Twin States siding....

3.  Then clearing up at North Star siding on the west side of Wilton, IA, to meet the Eastbound road freight.

4.  The eastbound is crossing the Cedar River at Moscow, IA, and is slowing down to meet and swap trains with the crew out of Silvis.

5.  The trains meet right on the crossing in the middle of North Star siding between Wilton and Moscow.

6.  IAIS ferries NS's Des Moines switch engine back and forth between Peoria (I think) and Des Moines; today a ho-hum GP38 but sometimes it's a high hood geep which is interesting.

Thanks for looking!

Andy
