Bloomer Line
Author: Q4960

On Friday March 6th the Bloomier Line in central Illinois made a delivery of about 40 covered hoppers of grain to the Norfolk Southern in Gibson City.  By the time I got word of the move it was a short chase for me but worth while.  Two locomotives were working hard on the front and another pushing.  #7591 is classified as a GP10 but was originally built as a GP9 in September 1958 and was NP 370.  The first photo was taken just north of Sibley and the other two in town.

And yes, the Bloomer's paint scheme does resemble that of the Burlington Route just a bit.

One more, taken with my drone of the train nearing Gibson City.
