Light Engines Drifting West Down THE HILL

Another light power move.  I've seen several of these lately, but it's not really a "scientific" sampling-  it could easily just be chance that I've looked up at the right time.
Nice sunny morning on Donner after 5 days of snow.

Nice shot Boiling Man

I miss the pre PTC days of verbal track permits over the Radio (not that long ago) when you could tell if you had a w/b entering MP 171 or an E/B entering MP 140. A much easier time chasing trains back then plus you had the lead engine number. if the lead engine begin with UP 52XX you knew to take a pass on it. These are the mostly charred/blackened Sparks DPU engines. Although in recent years they have begun painting some of these.

Heck, better yet- in the 80’s I simply stopped by the depot in Colfax. The operator simply gave me a motor car operators line-up flimsy. He did one in the morning and an update at noon.
Never even considered getting a scanner.

You're getting pretty good with that drone Steve. But can you walk your dog with like that guy in Israel can. It's in the news today.

Walk the dog like the guy in Israel?

Hmmm... a euphemism.
I don’t think I know that one.

But I bet it’ll probably get you kicked off TO...

Video of a white Pomeranian on a leash. On the other end of the leash is a DJI drone. Dog and drone are moving forward.
